The Cultural Center of Cape Cod is a community-based organization that lives up to its motto ‘All the Arts for All of Us’ by offering a wide range of events, exhibits, and educational programs in the visual, literary, and performing arts for people of all interests, abilities, ages, and incomes.

What We Do

Classes and Education

The Center is known for educational opportunities for a wide range of ages, incomes, abilities and interests, including classes and workshops in painting, drawing, ceramics, music, culinary arts, dance, photography, creative writing and other humanities, yoga and tai chi, and much more. With special studios for cooking, pottery, recording, photography, and digital arts, the Center’s Education Wing is a bee hive of activity that also provides endless resources for populations with special needs. Resident artists also teach and make art in their studios, which are open to the public every day.

Events

The Center hosts hundreds of events every year, plus dozens of exhibits, always striving for a balance of emerging and established artists of all kinds, and a mix of local and internationally renowned performers. From concerts and films to dances and readings, the Center’s events offer something for everyone at reasonable prices, all year round. The Center is also a great venue for private events from weddings to fundraisers.

PROGRAMS

The Center is known for programs that address the challenges affecting underserved populations, including events and exhibitions to highlight the creativity of people with development difficulties, and especially the Rise and Shine Program, which offers workshops in the arts to youth at risk followed by opportunities to celebrate their work through exhibits, readings, and performances at the Center.

YOUR COMMUNITY CENTER

image137

In addition to serving as an affordable, accessible, and inclusive arts center, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod has become a gathering place for cultural and human service organizations that lack a venue of their own or require a facility whose location, staff, cost, and amenities best serve their needs. The Center is always eager to engage new volunteers, welcome new members into the family, and talk with those who are interested in supporting its work in the community.
